Despite our good intentions, it seems inevitable that the romantic love we so ecstatically embrace in one another, fades. We often disappoint and fail each other while trying ever so diligently to fulfill our commitment to “love, honor and cherish.” We were created to love and be loved and yet, at times, we seek for that fulfillment in vain.

Whether you have experienced this chain of events in the natural arena of life or not, the human spirit longs for a love that quickens the heart rate and causes the emotions to soar. We all desire, and need, to know a love that sweeps us off our feet, brings us to our knees and reminds us that we are “one of a kind”, irreplaceable and treasured.

There is One whose lavish love draws us with irresistible power. He woos us as a suitor with His promise to love us forever, unconditionally. Does it seem “too good to be true”? He will never disappoint or neglect us. He is ever watchful to protect and provide, after all, we are His “Beloved”. There is nothing in all the world as wonderful as the realization of our heart connection with Him. It is our purpose-the fulfillment of His work in us…to know “The Lover of our Soul”.

Psalm 33:20-22 “We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you.”
