The Introduction

Watching with abated breath, all Heaven stood on tiptoe as the scene on earth unfolded!
The prophecy proclaimed so long ago reverberated through the night……………..

“For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given…”

The introductory announcement was sublime.  A brilliant star heralding the birth of all
Stars shone in magnificent splendor!  Co-heralded by celestial messengers, they
introduced the coming One whose authority would never end, whose government will
never fall.

He was called the Prince of Peace, Lord of Lords, and King of Kings…He was called
the Light of the World, the Water that quenched men’s’ thirst, the Bread of Life…Son of the
Most High…He is Christ the Lord!

He came to give men a special quality of life, the freedom from sin’s bondage-wholeness!
He came not with the authority of a roaring lion or the acclaim of pride’s hierarchy, but the
gentle spirit of a lowly lamb.  He was draped not in the robes of purple royalty, but the
common clothes of the poor.

In His hands was a scepter of righteousness!
He was far greater than the angels who worshipped Him!
Honored by the Father, He was made heir of all things!

He grew to manhood and walked the earth expressing the image of our Heavenly Father,
the essence of love to an unloving world shrouded in darkness.

At the ethereal meeting before Time was initiated, He consented to be the substitute for
the sins of humanity.  His walk to the cross then began and culminated at Calvary.  There
His memorable words, “It is finished,” have echoed down history’s corridors, liberating us
from sin’s yoke, its prison, its encasement!

He now sits at the right hand of God, interceding for His children.  The influence of His birth
is immeasurable!  His introduction into our lives….OUR DESTINY!
